The challenge
In an environment with international offices and inherited technology, multiple identities, device standards and providers can hinder collaboration, increase operational load and reduce visibility over permissions and licences.
Before delivery, each location requires a verified scope covering users, applications, dependencies, change windows, access requirements and acceptance owners.
The solution
The approach described combines three workstreams:
- Identity and collaboration. Inventory tenants, groups, permissions and dependencies before designing Microsoft 365 consolidation.
- Endpoints. Standardise configuration, management and policies progressively, using validated pilot groups.
- Coordinated operations. Maintain one follow-up point, escalation criteria and shared documentation for the locations included in each phase.
Each change remains subject to testing, backup, approval and a rollback plan appropriate to the real environment.
